What are probiotics?

Nurture Gold® Infant Formula 1 & Follow-On Formula 2 with Digesti Plus ® contain the laboratory tested culture Bifidobacterium lactis (BB-12). Nurture Gold Toddler® Milk Drink 3 with Digesti Plus® also contains the probiotic Lactobacillus acidophilus NCFM.
How do prebiotics help?
The importance of prebiotics is they resist digestion and make it all the way through the gut, where they can boost the growth of probiotics by providing them with nourishment.
The prebiotic ingredient in the Nurture Gold® range is Galacto-oligosaccharide (GOS), a non-digestible carbohydrate derived from lactose that may assist with digestion as well as ‘feeding’ the probiotics.
